The Elder Scrolls Online: Aldmeri Dominion Skill Point Quests – Reaper’s March – Jodewood

QuestsSkill Point QuestsAldmeri DominionReaper's MarchJodewood

Jodewood is the southern region of Reaper’s March. It contains the city of Rawl’kha, but not S’ren-ja to the east. From there it extends to the southern tip of Reaper’s March, all the way to the Grahtwood border. The Moonmont catacombs and the Do’Krin Monastery are located in the western part of the region, with the Jodewood Dolmen just up the river to the north of the Monastery. It is bordered on the west by Malabal Tor, though there is no gate this far south. The Northern Woods and Dawnmead regions form the northern border.

You will need to complete the quests in order from 1 – 4; the quest givers are marked on the maps below. Sometimes the skill point is awarded before all of the quests in the zone are finished, but the remaining quests need to be completed because they are prerequisites for the next questing zone. Once you have completed The First Step and Motes in the Moonlight in the Jodewood questing zone, you will be rewarded a two skill points.

  9. Talk to Kauzanabi-jo.

– Detailed Walkthrough –

Talk to Hadam-do in Rawl’kha. He says they are expecting you inside the temple. Although he tells you to follow him, he won’t move and you enter the temple. He can be found again in the small room before the steps.

Enter the Rawl’kha Temple and talk to Kauzanabi-jo and the Dominion Elite.

The Dominion Elite
The Green Lady says the Wood Elves are deeply divided, so much so that she believes the Dominion is at its most vulnerable. Queen Ayrenn says the High Elves are cautious, but she says the Summerset Isles will continue to support Elsweyr.

Mane Akkhuz-ri says he can never atone for his deeds, and he says he is Mane no longer. Lord Gharesh-ri says the Khajiit are talking about the situation with the Mane and two potential candidates.

The Moon-Sugar Elixir
Talk to Kauzanabi-jo about the ritual. You can ask her questions about it, if you want. You will drink an elixir to make you “more receptive to the touch of Jone and Jode” and then follow the Lunar Champions.

Listen to Kauzanabi-jo as she invites the Lunar Champions to drink the elixir.

“We have gathered here to usher the Champions onto the next path. The trial path. These three cups contain moon-sugar elixir, a sacred potion. They will allow the light of the moons into your souls. Champions, step forth and drink the elixir. The third cup is for the Moon Hallowed, who will walk with the Champions on their path.” —Kauzanabi-jo

Then, it is your turn. Drink the Moon-Sugar Elixir from the center cup on the table.

Next, you need to pick the Lunar Champion you want to observe. Tell whomever you choose, you are “with them”.

Shazah’s Path
Follow Shazah into the temple portal behind her.

“That hut. This place… are those supposed to be Knahaten Flu victims?” —Shazah

Fight the Knahaten Flu victims, in order to get to the next part of the temple. You do not have to kill all of them. The door to the next room is to the south. In the next room, watch as Shazah greets her father, her guide on the path.

“My daughter. It’s good to see you again. —Ubraz”

“Father?”

“You’ve become so adept with magic, my daughter. Your wisdom has far exceeded my own.”

“Father, you are my guide. Why are you here? What am I to learn from this cleansing?”

“My Shazah, always so eager to earn. Cub, you and your sister have a connection that transcends knowledge. Now, you must learn from my past. Pray at the lunar shrines. Learn from Khali, that you may face what lies ahead at Moonmont.

Become what you were born to be.”

The Moon Shrines

Next, you need to use the Moon Shrines. There are three shrines: Full, Waxing and Waning. You have to wait for each vision to end in order to use the shrine.

The three visions show Ubraz, Shazah’s father, trying to cure the flu, but eventually failing and succumbing to the plague himself. Ask Shazah if she is ready to continue, then enter the next room.

Survive the Dead
There are three waves of enemies to defeat in the center of the room. Each wave has more than the previous. However, once all the Flu victims are dead, talk to Shazah in front of the northern door.

She knew those people—they worked with her father and one was her cook. She learns to be brave, like her sister. Enter the portal, which completes Shazah’s trial.

Khali’s Path
Talk to Khali, then enter the portal behind her.

Defeat the Colovians who killed her mother, then enter the next room through the door to the right.

Khali’s mother, her guide on the path, appears.

The Moon Shrines
Use the three Moon Shrines and watch the visions.

Talk to Khali after you use all three shrines.

Defeat the Colovian General
Defeat the general who killed Khali’s mother, then talk to Khali again. She realizes that she fights to protect those she cares for. Follow her through the portal into the temple’s main area.

The Cleansing
Talk to Kauzanabi-jo. There is one more step—the Ceansing.

Watch the ritual, then talk to her again.

  3. Enter Moonmont Temple.

  5. Solve the lunar altar puzzle.
  6. Defeat the Dark Mane.
  7. Talk to Rid-Thar-ri’Datta.
  8. Choose a Champion.
  9. Talk to the other Lunar Champion.

– Detailed Walkthrough –

Speak to Shazah south of the Moonmont Wayshrine. She and Khali are hunting the Dark Mane. He has taken root in Moonmont and locked himself in the temple. He corrupted the beacons that mark the site as holy to fuel the ward lock. You need to take a prayer to the Bright Moons and pray at the beacons, large pillars around the temple. Together, you can drive away the darkness.

You need to go southwest to the temple and its large pillars. When you get close to a corrupted pillar, you will notice the darkness swirling around it. Use the Purification Prayer on the column to dispel it.

At the southwest beacon, you see Shazah already there. Talk to her. This pillar is too full of the Dark Mane’s power for you, so Shazah, who has more experience, will purify it. You need to protect her. There are two waves of Dar-m’Athra, then Shazah should be finished cleansing the pillar.

Once all the beacons are purified, head to the temple’s courtyard to talk to Khali. The two of you watch as Shazah lights the braziers near the ward with blue flames. The lights from the braziers illuminate the door, and the dark ward explodes. It appears that Shazah underestimated the strength of the ward, but she claims she is unharmed, and you follow the Lunar Champions into the temple.

Once inside, go northwest around the center tower to the door at the top of the steps. Climb the steps and enter the next room.

There is an altar in the center of the room with two moons floating above it. When Shazah tries to dispel the ward in this room, she can’t do it as it is even more powerful than the one before. Talk to Rid-Thar-Ri’Datta, who appears in front of the door.

“Tharn and the Dark Mane dare to tread on temple ground! Blasphemies against the Two Moons Dance. And corruption crawls the walls in Moonmont’s inner chamber.”

How do we get inside?

“The Dark Mane’s residue has twisted the altars to Masser and Secunda. It crawls from between the bricks, stretching and clinging to any ray of light. The darkness of the Dro-m’Athra reaches from where they dwell beyond, snuffing out all it touches.”

Yes, I know. I’m asking how we can get past this door.

“Each of the altars is normally aligned to one of the lunar phases. Simply refocus their light.”

The carvings on the walls are clues to which phase you need to align them to. The northwest altar should be crescent moons pointing left, the middle should be full moons, and the southwest should be pointing right. When done correctly, Rid-Thar will call out that the darkness has been thrown back. Shazah destroys the barrier, and you enter the next room.

“You’re mine now, Champions!”

The Dark Mane surprises the Lunar Champions by ensuring them in green runes. He appears at the top of the short western stairs. It looks like you will have to face him without their help. You defeat him, and the First Mane, Rid-Thar,appears to you.

Rid-Thar says you need to choose right now. The two Champions shine like motes in the darkness. One will shine as brightly as Jone and Jode, but the other will rot and wither in Moonmont’s corruption. Your destiny as Moon Hallowed means you must choose who will walk the Two Moons Path with you and who gets left behind to hold the Dark Mane in place.

Talk to the two Champions. Shazah thinks Khali would be a better Mane: she is stronger. Shazah claims she is only a scribe who was born on the right day at the right time and does not deserve to be Mane. Khali thinks Shazah will not be able to contain the Dark Mane. Shazah would be a good Mane because she knows the people and has studied for a long time. Thank your choice for her sacrifice, then talk to the other Champion.

The Champion vows revenge on Javad Tharn and promises to free her sister after she walks the Two Moons Path.

4. To Dune
Quest Giver: Shazah or Khali at Moonmont
Location(s): Dune
Reward: 65 Gold
Recommended Level: 40

– Quick Walkthrough –

  1. Travel to Dune.
  2. Talk to Queen Ayrenn.

– Detailed Walkthrough –

The Lunar Champion says she must walk the Two Moons Path, with your help, in Dune.

Dune is northeast of Moonmont. Once you arrive, talk to Queen Ayrenn to begin an investigation on an attack on the city. She is in the house on the outskirts of the city. You tell her the bad news about the other Champion, and she gives you 65 gold.
