The Lagomere Dolmen is located in the west, across the river south of Academy. To the south is the border gate to Shadowfen in the Black Marsh. Stonefalls borders on the north, but there is no gate here. To the west is the region of Redolent Loam, and Siltreen borders on the east.

Sometimes the skill point is awarded before all of the quests in the zone are finished, but the remaining quests need to be completed because they are prerequisites for the next questing zone. The Tribunal Temple has been expecting you. Almalexia wants to see you as soon as possible. You go to the Tribunal Temple and see Naryu Virian standing outside. She says there is trouble brewing. The Maulborn are in Mournhold. While you tell Almalexia about the Maulborn, she will try to find out where the Maulborn are hiding. Once you are done talking to Almalexia, you should meet Naryu in the Flaming Nix, a cornerclub south of the temple.

Inside the temple, Almalexia rewards you with Almalexia’s Enchanted Lantern. She allows you to investigate the Maulborn in Mournhold.

Naryu Virian is leaning against the wall in the cornerclub. She saw the House Dres farm outside the city was on high alert. They are using a courier named Thauravil to deliver bribes to the other house leaders and city officials. She suggests taking the courier’s key. He picks up bottles of wine at the cornerclub. She wants you to slip a sleeping poison into the wine, follow him and take the key when he falls asleep. You can persuade Naryu.

The wine is in the lower level of the Flaming Nix on some crates. After the wine is poisoned, return to Naryu. The courier runs out of the cornerclub. If he detects you when you are following him, speak to Naryu again, and the courier will come back for more wine.

The merchant falls asleep behind the stables. This is close to the House Dres Farm map marker, and there are some guar in and around the stables. Take his key and go to House Dres Farmstead.

Inside Sathram House there is a suspicious rug. Moving it reveals a door to the Mournhold Underground. Naryu Virian enters the house after you discover this.

The door to the next area is on the east side of the room. The lever to its right will open it, but it needs grease. Kill two alits and take the bottles of alit grease. Using the grease on the lever allows you to open the door.

Inside, Naryu discovers the wards are active. There are also Maulborn hiding in this area of the sewers. You continue further into the Mournhold Underground, discovering Maulborn Commander Kalara. You defeat her, and Almalexia appears. She sends you to the Mages Guild.

Farona Telvanni is in the center of the Mages Guild. The Maulborn kidnapped her and asked her about Daedric magic. Your next step is to talk to an Ordinator.

The small army of Maulborn is still on the loose and planning an attack. The Ordinator gives you a reward and sends you to Almalexia.

  3. Pray at the altars of the Three and receive their blessings.
  4. Stop the Maulborn threat inside the High Chapel.
  5. Report to Almalexia.

– Detailed Walkthrough –

The small group of Maulborn escaped from the Mournhold Underground. Almalexia needs you to report to the Tribunal Temple right away. She is floating outside the temple, near where you met Naryu Virian during A Favor Returned. The Maulborn entered the temple and opened Daedric portals. Almalexia sends you to banish the Daedra while she finds out what the Maulborn are up to.

There are three Daedric portals to close inside the temple. After they are closed, pray at Almalexia’s altar in the western corner of the temple. She says Magistrix Vox used daedric magic to bypass the wards around the High Chapel, then opened an Oblivion gate to fill the temple with Daedra. Vox wants to desecrate the temple, steal the holy artifacts and loose Daedra on Mournhold. In order for you to enter the High Chapel, you need the blessing of each of the Three. You have Almalexia’s blessing, so now you need to pray at Vivec’s and Sotha Sil’s shrines and complete their tasks.

Vivec’s Blessing
Vivec’s altar is in the eastern corner of the temple. Almalexia appears and explains the trial to you. Vivec’s trial measures your wisdom and judgement. A temple worker, Vamen, killed Belronen Telvanni in a duel. You must act as Vivec did, questioning the witnesses and determining who truly slew Belronen.

First, talk to Vamen. A small cut on Telvanni’s arm was enough for Vamen to win. You can choose to blame him, or continue looking for a culprit.

Telvanni’s body has one wound: a small cut on his arm. There is a crumpled note in his belt. It looks like someone called V threatened to turn Telvanni into the temple for his trade in Daedric artifacts.

Fenila Redoran says you, as Vivec, should kill Vamen. Talnus Indoril says Fenila lent Telvanni her blade before the duel. Indoril insisted Vamen and Telvanni switch weapons, and Redoran fumed when it happened. Galdsa Dres says Fenila stoked Telvanni’s rage, urged him not to back down and called herself his friend. Morami Hlaalu says Belronen’s death brings shame to House Telvanni.

You can continue to question the witnesses after the objective Investigate the Crime is completed. Talking to Hlaalu reveals she sold Redoran the poison and wrote the threatening note. You can accuse her or continue to question the others.

Once you accuse one of them, they disappear, and the enigma of Vivec will appear. Vivec rewarded Fenila Redoran for her cunning, but House Redoran suffered for poisoning a Telvanni. Morami Hlaalu was the one punished for the crime, but House Hlaalu was rewarded for exposing a heretic.

Sotha Sil’s Blessing
Sotha Sil’s altar is at the north end of the temple. Almalexia says Sotha Sil values intelligence and ingenuity.

Your goal is to repair the Dwarven Arbiter of Perfection. Turn the left Dwarven mechanism two or three times and defeat the three Dwarven spheres. Each Dwarven sphere drops two or three dynamo cores. Since you need five, you need to turn the switch at least twice. Turn the right Dwarven mechanism, and a Dwarven spider will appear. Defeat it and collect the three spinning gears it drops.

Interact with the Arbiter of Perfection, adding five dynamo cores to the sockets and three gears to the pegs. Once complete the Arbiter will attack. Defeat it, and the Enigma of Sotha Sil appears.

The High Chapel
Inside the chapel is Maulborn Priest Sathram. You need to activate the Relics of Almalexia, Sotha Sil and Vivec to release him from the center. Defeat him, and talk to Almalexia near the exit to Deshaan.

The Maulborn sacrificed their own troops so Vox could escape with the Judgment of Veloth. Almalexia names you a Hand of Almalexia and gives you Ordinator Helm and 378 gold.

Continue to the next Deshaan skill point questing zone, Siltreen.
