The Elder Scrolls Online: Aldmeri Dominion Skill Point Quests – Greenshade – Drowned Coast

The Drowned Coast is the western region of Greenshade. It includes the city of Woodhearth, as well as the Seaside Sanctuary to the north and Shademist Moors to the south, with the Drowned Coast Dolmen on an island to the south of that. It also extends in a wedge inland, reaching almost but not quite to the city of Marbruk. It is bordered on the north by Green’s Marrow and the south by the Wilderking Court.

You will need to complete the quests in order from 1 – 7; the quest givers are marked on the maps below. Sometimes the skill point is awarded before all of the quests in the zone are finished, but the remaining quests need to be completed because they are prerequisites for the next questing zone. Once you have completed Pelidil’s End in the Drowned Coast questing zone, you will be rewarded a skill point.

The Wilderqueen suggests you try looking for the Staff of Magnus in Woodhearth. She opens a portal for you.

The portal doesn’t take you directly to Woodhearth; you have to walk northwest. Once you get to Woodhearth, talk to Yanaril.

Talk to Yanaril near the entrance to Woodhearth. Razum-dar tracked Pelidil to the city. He will only discuss his suspicions with you. Yanaril tells you he is waiting for you in the Thalmor Headquarters.

The Thalmor Headquarters are northwest of Yanaril. Razum-dar has come up with a plan to flush the Veiled Heritance out of Woodhearth. Raz will disguise himself as Queen Ayrenn to provoke the Heritance into an assassination attempt. While he gets glamored, you should learn more about the traitors from Treethane Fariel.

Fariel says there have been rebels in the city ever since King Camoran was crowned, but they’ve never been found. She suspects there is a spy among the Thalmor. She spread the rumor that the queen is coming to make sure the city is safe. “She” will be touring the Imperial Underground. You will be the queen’s escort. You will take her to meet Asteril, a Thalmor officer she suspects is the spy.

Talk to Razum-dar again, but this time he speaks and looks like Queen Ayrenn. He tells you he is ready to leave, and you lead the way south to the trapdoor to the Imperial Underground in a ruined tower.

“Come closer my queen. I have something for you.”

“What is this?”

“A gift in memory of Prince Naemon. Vicereeve Pelidil sends his regards.”

There is a flash of blinding light, and Razum-dar is thrown back into the corner. Asteril has disappeared. Talk to Razum-dar. He thinks she cannot have gone far and asks you to track her down.

Retrieve the Orders from Vicereeve Pelidil, then talk to Razum-dar. He thinks this is the Heritance’s backup plan: they are going to attack Woodhearth and destroy Valenwood. However, he never thought they would have enough manpower to do so.

Return to the Thalmor Headquarters, and talk to Treethane Fariel. You give her the orders, and she gives you 216 gold.

3. Double Jeopardy

Enter the Thalmor Headquarters, the building that houses the Mages Guild and the Fighters Guild, in Woodhearth, and talk to Treethane Fariel.

“From what you’ve discovered, it’s unquestionable at this point — the Veiled Heritance is planning something here, something even worse than killing the queen. I just hope it’s not too late for us to stop them.”

She thinks questioning Asteril will be key to figuring out their plans. She might be in the Thalmor Residence, or you might find some of Pelidil’s plans there. You take Oromin along with you. He doesn’t believe Asteril is a traitor. The Thalmor requires its agents to prove their loyalty.

The Thalmor Residence is southeast of the Thalmor Headquarters. The entrance is on the opposite side. In front of the fire, you find Asteril’s long dead corpse on the floor.

Talk to Oromin. He is overjoyed at finding her body since it proves she could not have possibly been the person you saw in the Imperial Tunnels. When you ask him about his apparent lack of grief or shock, he replies that her death is troubling to him, but the Thalmor’s reputation is more important. He suspects the same person who tried assassinate the queen killed Asteril. He directs you to Razum-dar, who has found a secret passage behind the bookshelf. Enter the trapdoor to the imperial Underground.

The Imperial Underground
Read the Letter to Laryaril on the desk to the left. Make your way past the Heritance soldiers to the ladder to the Imperial Prison.

Pelidil’s Plot
Defeat the Veilmistress to the right to access the room where Laryaril sits, mortally wounded. Pelidil lured her to the prison to be assassinated. His armies are storming Seaside Sanctuary. From there, they will take all of Valenwood. He made a treaty with the Maormer and will use the Staff of Magnus to raise an army of undead. She doesn’t regret killing and impersonating her twin; she always felt like a failure while her sister had a successful career with the Thalmor.
Make your way back to Woodhearth, and talk to Treethane Fariel in the Thalmor Headquarters. She gives Woodhearth Breastplate and 216 gold.

4. Before the Storm
Quest Giver: Treethane Fariel in Woodhearth
Location(s): Serpent’s Grotto, Seaside Sanctuary
Reward: 108 Gold
Recommended Level: 28

5. A Storm Upon the Shore

  4. Travel to the Maormer ship, and defeat the enemies on board.

– Detailed Walkthrough –

Talk to Captain Jimila when you are ready to go after Vicereeve Pelidil. This will cause the Prowler to set sail, and you wake up in the lower decks.

Under Attack
The Maormer are attempting to board the ship. You need to fight them off while avoiding fire from the enemy ship’s cannonballs.

A sea serpent will approach the ship after you defeat the Sea Vipers. You need to shoot it with the ballistae on the deck four times. The serpent appears at the northeast ballista, the northwest ballista, the southeast ballista (where it may dodge your attack the first time), then alternate between the southwest and southeast. You should note there is no ballista in the southwestern area.

Once the serpent is defeated, you will have to repel more Maormer boarders. Two portals appear on deck at this time.

After all the boarders have been defeated, you need to enter the portal at the north end of the deck to kill Vicereeve Pelidil.

Return to the Prowler
Use the portal to return to the Prowler. Talk to Captain Jimila, and tell her to sail back. Talk to Captain Jimila again once you are back for Sargasso’s Curse and 219 gold.

7. Report to Marbruk
