Flame Damage is a type of magical damage. It is mainly used by Dragonknights, but available to other classes as well. Some enemies may use Flame Damage against you, notably Flame Atronachs, which are some of the first enemies you will encounter. Dunmer characters receive a bonus to Flame Resistance through their Resist Flame passive skill. Can cause the Status Effect Burning.

Note that staves may be enchanted with a different elemental damage, so a single staff could do both Flame Damage and another type of damage.

Call down a battle standard, dealing [1163 / 1177 / 1188 / 1200] Flame Damage every 1 second for 25 seconds to enemies and applying Major Defile to them, reducing their Healing Received and Health Recovery by 16%. Activating this ability again allows you to move the standard to your location. An ally near the standard can activate the Shackle Shackle synergy, dealing 3601 Flame Damage to enemies in the area and Immobilizing them for 5 seconds.

Standing in the standard increases your Damage Done and reduces Damage Taken.
Call down a battle standard, dealing 1163 Flame Damage every 1 second for 16 seconds to enemies and applying Major Defile to them, reducing their Healing Received and Health Recovery by 16%. Standing in the area increases your Damage Done and reduces Damage Taken by [12 / 13 / 14 / 15]%. An ally near the standard can activate the Shackle Shackle synergy, dealing 3601 Flame Damage to enemies in the area and Immobilizing them for 5 seconds.

Lash an enemy with flame, dealing 3097 Flame Damage. If you strike an enemy that is Immobile or Stunned, you set them Off Balance. Whenever you activate a different Ardent Flame ability, you gain a stack of Seething Fury, increasing the Damage of your next Molten Whip by 20% and your Weapon Damage and Spell Damage by [85 / 90 / 95 / 100] for 15 seconds. This effect stacks up to 3 times.

Targeting Off Balance or Immobilized enemies grants you a more powerful attack which deals increased Damage, costs half as much, and heals you.
Lash an enemy with flame, dealing 3097 Flame Damage. If you strike an enemy that is Immobilized or Stunned, you set them Off Balance. Targeting an Off Balance or Immobilized enemy changes this ability into Power Lash Power Lash, allowing you to lash an enemy at half cost to deal [3563 / 3602 / 3640 / 3680] Flame Damage and healing you for [3563 / 3602 / 3640 / 3680] Health.

The poison seeps into the target and deals increased Damage the longer it lasts, dealing [9 / 10 / 11 / 12]% more Damage every 2 seconds. Enemies hit by the initial hit are afflicted with the Poisoned status effect.

Heals you for a percentage of Damage Done.
Slash an enemy with flame, dealing 1549 Flame Damage and an additional 4673 Flame Damage over 20 seconds. You heal for [94 / 96 / 98 / 100]% of the Damage Done with this ability. Enemies hit by the initial hit are afflicted with the Burning status effect.

Inscribe a rune of cosmic fire on the earth, which takes 2 seconds to arm and lasts for 20 seconds. When triggered, the rune blasts all enemies in the target area for 3097 Flame Damage, knocks them into the air, and Stuns them for 3 seconds.

The rune also deals additional Damage over time.

Burning Spellweave Light When you deal Damage with a Flame Damage ability, you apply the Burning status effect to the enemy and increase your Spell Damage by 11-490 for 8 seconds. These effects can occur once every 12 seconds.
Caluurion’s Legacy Light When you deal direct Critical Damage with a single target attack, you launch a projectile at your target that deals 2674 Flame Damage, 2674 Frost Damage, 2674 Shock Damage, or 2674 Disease Damage and applies the respective status effect. This effect can occur once every 10 seconds and scales off the higher of your Weapon Damage or Spell Damage.
Domihaus Any When you deal Damage, you create either a ring of fire or ring of molten earth around you for 10 seconds, which deals 259 Flame Damage or 259 Physical Damage every 1 second. Standing within the ring grants you 6-300 Spell Damage or 6-300 Weapon Damage. This effect can occur once every 15 seconds and the Damage scales off the higher of your Weapon Damage or Spell Damage.
Elemental Catalyst Light Whenever you deal Flame Damage, Shock Damage, or Frost Damage, you apply a stack of Flame Weakness, Shock Weakness, or Frost Weakness to the enemy for 3 seconds. Each stack of an Elemental Weakness increases their Critical Damage Taken by 5%. An enemy can only have one stack of each Elemental Weakness at a time.
Elemental Succession Light Whenever you deal Flame Damage, Shock Damage, or Frost Damage, you gain 11-492 Spell Damage for that element for 4 seconds. Each effect can occur every 4 seconds, and multiple effects can be active at once.
Elf Bane Heavy While in combat, increases the duration of your Flame Damage over time abilities by 5 seconds. This effect does not work with beam or channeled effects.
Embershield Heavy When you complete a fully-charged Heavy Attack, you increase your Physical Resistance and Spell Resistance by 76-3300 and deal 0 Flame Damage to all enemies within 5 meters of you every 1 second for 6 seconds. The Damage scales off the higher of your Physical Resistance or Spell Resistance.
Encratis’s Behemoth Any Dealing Flame Damage to an enemy grants you Behemoth’s Aura for 12 seconds that reaches up to 12 meters. You and up to 11 group members in the aura reduce Flame Damage taken by 5%. Enemies in the aura increase their Flame Damage taken by 5%. This effect can occur once every 15 seconds.
Explosive Rebuke Heavy When you successfully block, you place a bomb on the enemy for 10 seconds. When they are hit with a fully-charged Heavy Attack, the bomb detonates, dealing 0 Flame Damage to all enemies within 8 meters and applying the Burning status effect to them. This effect can occur once every 8 seconds and scales off the higher of your Physical Resistance or Spell Resistance.
Flame Blossom Light When you deal Damage, you summon a line of flame that moves forward after 1 second, dealing 1998 Flame Damage to any enemy in its path and applying the Burning status effect. This effect can occur once every 10 seconds and scales off the higher of your Weapon Damage or Spell Damage.
Grothdarr Any When you deal Damage to an enemy within 8 meters, you have a 10% chance to create lava pools that swirl around you, dealing 337 Flame Damage to all enemies within 8 meters of you every 1 second for 5 seconds. This effect can occur once every 10 seconds and scales off the higher of your Weapon Damage or Spell Damage.
Ilambris Any When you deal Flame Damage or Shock Damage>, you have a 33% chance to summon a meteor shower that deals 189 Flame Damage and 189 Shock Damage to all enemies within 4 meters every 1 second for 5 seconds. This effect can occur once every 8 seconds and scales off the higher of your Weapon Damage or Spell Damage.
Infernal Guardian Any When you apply a Damage Shield to yourself or an ally, you have a 50% chance to lob 3 mortars over 2 seconds at the furthest enemy from you that each deal 833 Flame Damage to all enemies within 5 meters of the blast area. This effect can occur once every 6 seconds and scales off the higher of your Weapon Damage or Spell Damage.
Maw of the Infernal Any When you deal Damage with a Light Attack or Heavy Attack, you have a 33% chance to summon a fire breathing Daedroth for 15 seconds. The Daedroth’s attacks deal 727 Flame Damage, and alternate between Fiery Breath, Fiery Jaws, and Fiery Claw, which alternate once every 2 seconds. The Daedroth can only be summoned once every 15 seconds and its Damage scales off the higher of your Weapon Damage or Spell Damage.
Phoenix Light When you take Damage while below 25% Health, gain a Damage Shield that absorbs 581-25000 Damage for 10 seconds and deals 1308 Flame Damage to nearby enemies. This effect can occur once every 1 minute and the Damage scales off the higher of your Weapon Damage or Spell Damage.
Shadow of the Red Mountain Medium When you deal Damage with a weapon, you spawn a volcano that erupts after 1 second, launching liquid hot lava at the closest enemy dealing 2417 Flame Damage. This effect can occur once every 8 seconds and scales off the higher of your Weapon Damage or Spell Damage.
Silks of the Sun Light Adds 9-400 Spell Damage to your Flame Damage abilities.
Sunderflame Medium When you deal Damage with a fully-charged Heavy Attack, you deal an additional 2505 Flame Damage over 10 seconds and apply Minor Breach to the enemy, reducing their Physical Resistance or Spell Resistance by 2974. This effect scales off the higher of your Weapon Damage or Spell Damage.
The Ice Furnace Heavy When you deal Frost Damage, you deal an additional 309 Flame Damage to all enemies within 8 meters around the initial target. This effect can occur once every 1 second and scales off the higher of your Weapon Damage or Spell Damage.
Valkyn Skoria Any When you deal Damage with a Damage over time effect, you have a 8% chance to summon a meteor that deals 1745 Flame Damage to the target and 581 Flame Damage to all other enemies within 5 meters. This effect can occur once every 5 seconds and scales off the higher of your Weapon Damage or Spell Damage.
Vicious Death Light When you kill a player, they violently explode for 4319 Flame Damage to all other enemies in a 5 meter radius. This effect scales off the higher of your Weapon Damage or Spell Damage.
Way of Fire Heavy When you deal Damage with a Weapon, you deal an additional 742 Flame Damage. This effect can occur once every 2 seconds and scales off the higher of your Weapon Damage or Spell Damage.
Wild Impulse Weapons Reduce the cost of Impulse by 10%. Impulse places lingering Elemental Damage on your targets, dealing 787 Flame Damage, 787 Shock Damage, and 787 Frost Damage over 8 seconds. Each element ticks once over the duration. The Damage scales off the higher of your Weapon Damage or Spell Damage.
Wrath of Elements Weapons Casting Weakness to Elements on a target within 15 meters of you causes a surge of elemental energy to tether between you for 10 seconds. While the tether persists, enemies touching the tether take 410 Flame Damage, 410 Shock Damage, or 410 Frost Damage every 1 second, which increases by 1% each time it deals Damage, up to 20%. This effect can occur once every 10 seconds, and scales off the higher of your Weapon Damage or Spell Damage.
Zaan Any When you Damage a nearby enemy with a Light Attack or Heavy Attack, you have a 33% chance to create a beam of fire that will connect you to your enemy as long as you remain within 8 meters of them. The beam deals 378 Flame Damage every 1 second to your enemy for 6 seconds. Every second, this Damage increases by 100%. This effect can occur every 18 seconds and scales off the higher of your Weapon Damage or Spell Damage.
